Lithium iron phosphate, with the chemical formula LiFePO ₄, is an Cathode material for lithium-ion battery, mainly used in various lithium-ion battery. it has advantages such as high stability, high safety, and long lifespan, and is therefore widely used in electric vehicles, energy storage battery, and other fields.

The crystal of lithium iron phosphate is olivine type, which endows it with excellent thermal stability and cycling performance. compared with traditional lithium cobalt oxide and lithium manganese oxide, lithium iron phosphate has higher safety. even at high temperatures or overcharging, the structure of lithium iron phosphate is not easily collapsed, heated, or forms strong oxidizing substances, thus greatly reducing the risk of battery explosion or combustion.

In addition, the lifespan of lithium iron phosphate is relatively long. during the charging and discharging cycle, its structure can maintain stability and is not prone to degradation, resulting in a longer cycle life of the battery. this makes lithium iron phosphate an ideal choice for applications such as electric vehicles and energy storage stations that require long-term and high-frequency use of battery.
